  • Co-Curator for Exhibition

In addition to my artist self, I’ve been active at the Petaluma Arts Center where I’m on the board and chair of the exhibitions committee. I am a co-curator for our exhibition in the main gallery called The Art of Materials. It’s been a wonderful and new experience for me and even more exciting to introduce friends to many exceptional artists in the Bay Area.

    Exhibition Dates: May 9-June 22, 2024.

  • My art manifesto. Sometimes called an artist’s statement.

I make what I make. It comes out of a moment in time. It is generated by mood, stillness, intensity, frustration, calm, playfulness and any other adjective that seems fitting at the moment.

I create art that generates, for me, a feeling of wonder and awe and most of the time as representative of something beautiful. Works vary in style but are recognizable as mine.

I am influenced by other artists and painters and that may generate a new body of work based on this influence.

Art is not precious but appreciated for its significance as a new creation, as organic, a moment in time not to be matched by any other moment in time.
